Waterproof, durable, compact, backpackable. Commissioned as a series of design studies exploring Coleman’s wide variety of lighting products to strategic position Coleman in the outdoor market. A variety of concepts illustrated possible design strategies with compact, durable lighting, intended for backpacking and wet environments. Utilizing battery and butane fuel sources, functional prototypes and physical models were created to communicate the conceptual directions, and demonstrate usage.
