Was the genesis for our work on entrepreneurial ventures, it bacame 1/2 of InnoWorks charter and led to one of the most challenging prospects of Covault professional life.
European design has far reaching impact on future products. Initiated as a concept study for Coleman’s European outdoor camping market, the developmental program became a springboard for an entire line and resulted in multiple compact products, offered in six languages, and international patents for the client. Based on replaceable 190 gram butane cylinder cartridges protected by an outer shell fitting in a backpack. Designs received critical acclaim internationally, including the Good Design Award and selection to the permanent collection of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, Excellence in Design Award, and patented features conceived appear in many of the camping stoves and lanterns today worldwide.
Over a 8 year period and a strategic partnership, Covault’s work touched every division of the Coleman Company, particularly that of the International Division. Coleman work was conducted under the predecessor to InnoWorks, IDExposure.
