How do you inject life into a stale category at Target stores? Innovation. Originally developed as an internal InnoWorks exploration into ‘design inspired hydration products’. The QHy program quickly evolved into a license equity partnership with the Eddie Bauer brand, when Target Stores were seeking to revitalize the category. Soon after a license agreement negotiated by Covault was reached, and first run production products were introduced to the market – the Eddie Bauer 750ml reusable water bottle became a number 1 seller at over 910 Target Store locations.

EB_Milestones_2_300wInnovation drove design with a tapered grip contour for smaller hands and cup holders, ultimate drinkability with the flip-up spout, a wide mouth for ease of cleaning, and highest impact plastics available for a virtually indestructible product. Not only did the design conceived by InnoWorks increase sales, but it was the first to introduced the functional ‘flip-up drinking spout’ to the category. A design that has since been adopted by every major competitor in their products as well.

With Target success, all QHy trademarks, and proprietary designs were purchased and re-branded under QuencHydration Gear. Expanded designs in five categories are under development.
